My personal journey to performance nutrition
As a college athlete, I thought training harder would be enough to reach my goals. I spent hours in the gym and at practice, but I didn't realize that my nutrition, sleep, and recovery were holding me back.
When I started college, I was responsible for buying my own groceries and cooking my own meals for the first time. Between classes, workouts, and practices, I often chose whatever was the quickest and most convenient. I'd skip breakfast because I thought I "didn't have time," rely on sweets like cookies and ice cream for quick energy, and train late into the night even when I had an early morning class the next day.
My routine didn't support my goals. I constantly felt low on energy, struggled with recovery, and wasn't making the muscle gains I expected despite all the hours I was putting into training.
That's when I realized I needed to change my approach.
I decided to invest in my nutrition education by completing the Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification, where I learned how to truly fuel my body for optimal performance and recovery.
"Before learning about performance nutrition, I struggled with many of the same challenges my future clients face. As a college athlete balancing classes, training, work, and cooking for myself, I often skipped breakfast because I thought I didn't have time, relied on convenient foods that didn't properly fuel my body, and prioritized training over recovery."

"Even though I was working hard in the gym, I felt low on energy, wasn't recovering well, and wasn't seeing the muscle-building progress I expected."

"After completing my Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification and applying what I learned, I completely changed my approach. I started building balanced meals, fueling my workouts with carbohydrates, prioritizing protein for recovery and muscle growth, incorporating healthy fats for satiety and hormone health, and paying attention to the vitamins and minerals that support overall performance. The result was transformative."

Our unique approach to athlete nutrition
My own experience highlights the foundation of my coaching approach: nutrition should be practical, sustainable, and designed to support the demands of an athlete's lifestyle. I understand what it feels like to train hard while struggling with energy, recovery, and knowing how to properly fuel your body. Instead of focusing on restrictive diets, quick fixes, or perfection, my approach focuses on building realistic habits that athletes can maintain long-term.
I believe nutrition coaching should be personalized to each athlete's goals, schedule, preferences, and training demands. The goal is not just to tell someone what to eat, but to help them understand why nutrition matters and give them the tools and confidence to make better choices on their own. By combining evidence-based nutrition education with real-life experience as an athlete, I help athletes learn how to fuel their performance, support muscle growth, improve recovery, and create a healthier relationship with food.
